As members of P.E.O. Sisterhood, we invest in education, friendship, and the belief that every woman deserves the chance to achieve her dreams. P.E.O.: Where friendship grows, opportunities flourish, and women empower women.

P.E.O. is a philanthropic educational organization that began as a commitment to lifelong friendship among seven young women at Iowa Wesleyan College in 1869, making it one of the oldest women’s organizations in North America. Their legacy of friendship and support has been shared and passed down through generations of women, with the International Chapter of the P.E.O. Sisterhood having grown to nearly a quarter million members in over 6000 local chapters in the U.S. and Canada.
