STAR Facts At A Glance

  • Please check the International PEO website for the most current requirements.

  • The chapter recommendation form must be submitted online between August 15 and October 15 ONLY. Final Recommendation deadline is October 15 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST).

  • The student/applicant’s portion of the online application must be submitted no later than 30 calendar days (11:59 p.m. EST) after the link with instructions to set up her online account has been sent to the applicant from the STAR Supervisor. The student/applicant’s portion of the online application includes the Student Profile, Student Activity and Award Charts, original 700-word essay, two recommendations, and an unofficial high school transcript (through the 11th grade/junior year). The student/applicant receives the forms and instructions for all these in the link she is sent once a chapter has recommended her. Canadian applicants must also include their Province Conversion Grading Scale.

  • Deadlines are at 11:59 p.m. EST on the date/s prescribed. Since this deadline is firm, chapters and student applicants are strongly advised to submit early in case time/technical issues arise.

  • An official transcript is no longer required from applicants. Applicants may submit an unofficial or an official transcript with their online application. The transcript should be included in the online application.

  • The student/applicant must be 20 years of age or younger at the end of the calendar year in which she applies.
